Born in San Francisco, I have been surrounded by the beauty of the San Francisco Bay Area my whole life.  Living in Marin County since 1961, I could no longer ignore the dynamic scenery around me and decided to capture this beauty in my own way.

A strong desire to become an oil painter and a passion for the landscape is what fuels me to this day.  I am still awed by the powerful images I see daily and thrilled to be challenged by the opportunity to paint our California landscape.  Painting in a representation style, much like my heroes, the early California painters, I love the challenge of being in the moment, capturing the flow of the ocean, the serenity of a local pond, or the activity in the marshland.  Of course, Mt. Tam is a constant companion as she stands watch over most of my images.  I find this to be a very special journey.

I hold memberships in the California Art Club, the Oil Painters of America, the Artists of Western Sonoma, Art on the Farm.  I regularly participate in Open Studios, Marin/Scapes, the Bolinas Museum Miniature Show, Art on the Farm, Second Friday Art Walks, the Marin County Fair and numerous other shows and events.
