I grew up in Berkeley and received a degree in Art from CCAC  [now CCA] in Oakland, California.  While affiliated with Gump's Gallery in San Francisco for many years I concentrated on landscape paintings in acrylic of mostly West Marin scenes.  Since moving to Point Reyes Station I have participated in the annual shows of Marin/Scapes and MALT's Ranches and Rolling Hills.  During a long marriage to my late husband Ralph Borge, a prominent artist, and in the course of raising three children, I never stopped painting.

I was the overall winner of the $100,000 award at the Arts for the Parks show in 1989 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for the painting "Bishop Pines at Grossi Pond".  The painting, a purchase award, is part of the National Park Foundation collection in Manhatten, New York.

At present I am essentially a studio painter.  Through the eyes of my camera I draw inspiration from the outdoor beauty of Marin and Sonoma counties to bring to my canvasses.
