Press & Success. Not Alone Screening & Discussion

posted: Monday, February 12, 2018

Bucklew Programs, with support from The Marin County Sheriff's Office, Kaiser Permanente and The Marin County Office of Education (MCOE), hosted a screening of Not Alone, a documentary about teen suicide, featuring youth from Marin. MC'd by beloved teen mentor and activist, Michael Pritchard, this event was designed to serve the community by facilitating discussion after the film (with Spanish Translation provided by MCOE) and provide information and resources about preventing teen suicide.

Buckelew was fortunate to have press coverage by both the Marin IJ and KTVU's Debora Villalone. We are grateful to Kiki Goshay, the filmmaker, for offering BP the opportunity to open the discussion, remove the stigma and spread understanding. Buckelew raised $8,000 to help support the Suicide Prevention Hotline, and recruited 12 new hotline volunteers.

Look for this event in Sonoma County in September 2018. Details to follow. Interested in Sponsoring? Please contact Katrin Ciaffa, Director of Development.
