Spring is in the air… a season of change, new beginnings, new opportunities. I am writing this message to let you know that I have accepted a new opportunity as CEO for a behavioral health organization in Arizona and will be leaving Buckelew Programs. My last day will be May 17th.  It has meant a great deal to me to lead such a wonderful organization that has been serving our community since 1970.  With all of the changes in the behavioral health field over almost five decades, we never lost our focus on meeting the needs of our clients and community.

Over the last three years, we have been able to strengthen our programs, and have reinforced our collaborative partnerships with many community stakeholders.  We have unveiled a new brand that represents what Buckelew Programs is today: healthier lives, stronger communities. All of this provided us the opportunity to improve the quality of life for so many individuals and families across the North Bay. We have much to celebrate and I am so grateful to have walked this journey with you.

I believe that Buckelew Programs is well positioned for growth in the years ahead because of the great work that our staff does every day to meet the needs of our clients and the larger community. In the coming weeks, the Board of Directors will be recruiting a new CEO.  Our Board is committed to identifying a leader who not only brings experience in the behavioral health field, but who will continue to support the people who deliver our services and to position the organization for success in a changing world.

With much appreciation and gratitude,

Tamara Player

Chief Executive Officer
