Groundbreaking for new Helen Vine Recovery Center

posted: Tuesday, August 01, 2017

On Wednesday, July 12, we were so excited and grateful to gather with a group of our key supporters and stakeholders to ceremoniously break ground at the site for our new Helen Vine Recovery Center. Thanks to everyone who came and joined us, including San Rafael Major Gary Phillips, Tom Peters, CEO of Marin Community Foundation, and Diana Vine and her family. The site is just down the street from our current location on Smith Ranch Road. The buildings are modular, and we are working with our partners, Frederic Divine Architects and McDevitt Construction, on our ambitious goal to move in by the end of December 2017! The construction project is costing a total of $3.2 million dollars. The County of Marin committed $2.1 million, Marin Community Foundation $400,000, Kaiser Permanente $150,000 and Marin General Hospital $200,000, leaving approximately $400,000 yet to be raised.
