Buckelew Programs Sonoma and Napa County fire update and resources

posted: Friday, October 13, 2017

We are happy to report that at this time, all of the Buckelew Programs clients and staff in the areas affected by the North Bay wildfires are accounted for and safe. Our hearts go out to those many neighbors in our communities who have lost their homes, and in some cases, their loved ones. We will continue to share resources and opportunities to volunteer where the greatest needs are through our social media feeds.

Several Buckelew residences that were in mandatory evacuation areas have been safely evacuated and residents are doing well and receiving daily support from Buckelew staff. Our core value of being of service to the community is fully activated right now; attending to client’s emotional and physical needs, while bringing serenity to an ever-evolving situation. In Marin, Buckelew Program’s staff are practicing emergency drills and evacuation procedures to foster a sense of safety through empowerment and preparedness.

Below are a few resources that we think will be helpful. Please check our Twitter feed and Facebook for additional information as it becomes available.
