AgeSong Marin, a volunteer-led program of small discussion groups for Marin seniors, was founded in 2005 by retired clinical psychologist Ann Coffey, together with her friend, the late Elizabeth Bugental who wrote the book “AgeSong: Meditations for our later years”.
After operating under the umbrella of Family Service Agency of Marin (later Buckelew Programs) for more than eleven years, AgeSong has grown into a stable, self-sustaining program, and has decided it’s time to go out on their own. As of April 30, 2017, AgeSong will become a nonprofit organization under the fiscal sponsorship of MarinLink.
Buckelew Programs has been fortunate to partner with AgeSong Marin for many years and watch them grow and blossom. It is a wonderful program that helps Marin seniors find meaning and companionship. We wish AgeSong and its participants all the best for their new endeavors and will continue to support them in any way we can.
