Join us at Book Passage on February 9th

On Tuesday, February 9, at 6pm, Buckelew Programs' Suicide Prevention and Community Counseling is co-sponsoring an event at Book Passage in Corte Madera. Meet John Brooks, author of "The Girl Behind the Door". After his teenage daughter's suicide, John Brooks, a former senior financial executive in the broadcast and media industry, has turned to writing, mental health activism, and volunteer work with teenagers in Marin County, California. He also maintains a blog at, to share his experience and educate other adoptive families about parenting and therapy techniques unique to children with attachment issues. The Girl Behind the Door, winner of the 2015 Benjamin Franklin Parenting Award for Parenting and Family issues, is his first book.

This event is free of charge. Buckelew Programs will have an information table and give a brief overview of our services, including Suicide Prevention and Community Counseling.
